Art making is my passion. I find I always need to be creating with my hands no matter what phase I am in my life. The symbols of my art, the unfolding stories they tell, and the creative process connects me to my deeper self. I believe in the healing potential of art making, because of this belief I enjoy helping others discover themselves through creativity.

Carly Sullens, ATR is a practicing, registered art therapist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical and community based settings.

Carly has a Master of Arts degree in Art Therapy from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Bowling Green State University.

Carly has presented locally and nationally on various topics related to art therapy. She also enjoys supervising and mentoring students and colleagues pursuing and interest in art therapy.

Carly has attended BIRTHING FROM WITHIN® Mentor workshop Level One training in Austin, TX, April, 2007 and in Orlando, FL, November 2007. In November, 2008 Carly spent a week intensive training in Abeuqueue, NM, with Pam England author and founder of Birthing From Within to complete her Level Two training. In November of 2010 she became a Certified Birthing From Within Mentor, trained to offer Birthing From Within Childbirth Education and Doula Services.

*Facilitated art therapy sessions and assessments for adolescents on an inpatient/partial behavioral medicine unit.
